SqTools is a Chrome extension that adds three features to a Seeq worksheet: taller scrollable charts, a horizontal cursor hairline, and a command that copies the open worksheet to your clipboard as structured text.
Nothing. SqTools has no server. The developer receives no data from it of any kind: no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reports, no usage counts, and no copy of anything you capture.
When you click Capture Worksheet for AI, SqTools reads the worksheet you currently have open. It does this by calling your own Seeq server's API from the page you are already on, authenticated by the session you are already signed in with. It requests the same information you can see yourself: the signals and conditions on the worksheet, their metadata, and summary statistics over the displayed time range.
The result is placed on your system clipboard. It is not transmitted anywhere. Once it is on your clipboard, what happens to it is up to you; if you paste it into an AI assistant or any other program, that data is then handled under that service's own privacy policy, not this one.
SqTools uses Chrome's storage permission to remember whether you
have each of the three features switched on, and your chart height preference.
These settings live in your browser. No worksheet content, signal data, or
credentials are ever stored.
activeTab lets SqTools act on the Seeq tab you are looking at
when you click its toolbar button, which is what allows it to avoid asking for
broad access to your browsing.
Host access to *.seeq.tech, *.seeq.site,
*.seeq.host and *.seeq.dev is limited to the domains
Seeq deployments are served from, so the extension runs on your Seeq instance
and nowhere else.
SqTools sends no data to third parties, contains no third-party analytics or advertising code, and loads no remote code. It talks to exactly one server: the Seeq instance you are already using.
SqTools is a tool for industrial process engineering and is not directed at children.
